Deputy Mayor joins City Nature Challenge fun night walk at Tokai Park

29 April 2023

The City of Cape Town’s Deputy Mayor and Mayoral Committee Member for Spatial Planning and Environment, Alderman Eddie Andrews, yesterday joined in on the Friends of Tokai Park group’s exciting night walk in the Tokai Park. This guided walk formed part of the 2023 City Nature Challenge that is currently under way over this long weekend. Capetonians are encouraged to register on the iNaturalist app and get outdoors to record all wildlife that is to be found in the city. Residents can still take part in the challenge until Monday, 1 May 2023, to help Cape Town record as many observations and various species as possible. Read more below:

The group brought along their torches and set out on the lower section of Tokai Park to discover what critters wander the park at night. Needless to say this made for a great adventure.
